This is a part of the door most people will overlook, but one that can highly determine the efficiency of the door and the overall look of the same. There are so many types of door knobs you can choose from today and ceramic door knobs make some of the best options you can choose for your doors.
Dark door knobs are also applicable with partial overlay door style. The covered area of the cabinet is what you call the overlay part while the exposed part is the reveal area. Door style with partial overlay has a 1-inch of reveal area. Among all other types of designs this is the most common style. Another design is the full overlay door. This style, on the other hand, uses the whole reveal area. This is commonly found in frameless cabinets but there are also those found with framed cabinets. The hinges for this style is covered and there is still need for knobs.
The design of the knobs depends on the cabinet door styles where it is installed. There are several styles for the doors. One of these is the inset door design. This design is available only for framed cabinets because it has to stay within the rails and stiles of the frame. There is a special design of knob for them but the dark colored ones will always do. An almost similar design to the inset door is the lipped door. Lipped door is applicable only for framed cabinet door. It requires having rails and stiles wherein the they could rest. Aside from that, it also needs to have a specific type of knob to help open it. But their difference is that the lipped door has a groove wherein the other part of the cabinet can rest and look for support.
